I got the job! Yay!

I was offered a job today... but turned it down cause it would take me an hour and a half to get there. I actually applied for another job and should be getting an answer this week as to if I get it or not... we'll see how that goes anyway. I'm just over the whole job going to India thing and I wish it was over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it has and I am solely to blame.

It's nearly August so that means every day, my car is coming closer and closer to arriving. I wish the dealer would ring me up and confirm the date it will be mine, because I'm really hanging out at this point. Also everyone keeps asking me when I'm going to get it and I'm sick of telling them sometime in August! hee!

In terms of what's going on at work, I still have no idea what's going on with my job. It's taking them longer then expected to work out the complexities of my role. They had initially thought the job was rather straight forward, however there are things that we do that aren't documented and there is a lot of the behind the scenes work as well,so it's probably going to take another month or two months before we hear anything more.

All I have to say is ripped off!!!! Ref got sucked in bad as the defender just fell over Lucas Neill who was on the floor!

Yes the time has finally come and I ordered my car today!!!
I will however get it in 3 months due to the back orders they need to fill, but I'm not really worried because it will give me more time to save for it.

I'm watching the world cup match between Australia & Japan... at the moment I'm having a 'Not happy Jan' moment because of the goal that was allowed by this stupid ref. It was a blatant foul on the keeper (he had given a softer one on the other side only minutes earlier) which should have resulted in the goal being dissalowed but NO!!!! this ref is a complete moron and has fallen for the tactics of the Japanese team when they said we play rough... I can show them what that means... well probably not but still, I could try.

I've actually been ill a bit in the last couple of weeks, managed to catch a cold and them was starting to get over it and managed to catch a stomach bug, so am still not feeling the best as we speak.

In a month will also be finding out what's going on with my job. We were told about a month ago now that our jobs could be going to India to save costs or some rubbish like that. Anyway, my team will be the first to be looked at so will be finding out in a month if I have a job. If my job does go, then the earliest they will get rid of us is March next year.

Everything is annoying me lately.

Clearly I'm in no state of sane mind with a subject header like that.

Anyway, I have kind of been gone for a while, life kind of does that to you sometimes doesn't it.

My mum & brother have been on holidays for nearly 2 months already so my dad and I have had to take up the slack so to speak. My dad actually does more then I do... probably because I'm slack. Everytime I try and clean my room, I get distracted and nothing much really changes with it... They'll be back in around 2 weeks so I'll have to clean the cars and my room before then... hopefully.

Other things... I've been practicing the piano like a mad woman because I will be sitting my Grade 7 leisure exam on the 30th. This leads me to a few other changes... I've been catching the 6.22am train in order to start work at 7am... this means I'm up at 5am everymorning.
I actually don't mind be awake that early, I'm probably a bit more productive at work because there is no one there to bug me for at least an hour. So anyway, I have reduced my lunch break to around 1/2hr and leave at 3.30pm. It's great leaving that early though I get stuck with the high school crowd and the bogan families on the train, which is a bit annoying.

Speaking of my piano exam earlier, I've uploaded a few recordings of my exam pieces for you to listen to. I remember a while back I promised I'd upload my playing Proud Mary ... anyway, here they are. Please note, they are still a bit stuffed that I hope 2 weeks will fix...

Work, work is annoying me... my boss is the biggest arse ever! He gave me a really crappy performance review which I stupidly signed because I'm just stupid. He wrote really good comments on it saying I'm really good etc, but then he gave me crappy results!!

We're supposed to have these monthly reviews where we shouldn't be getting any suprises in our six-monthly review... well let's say I got a suprise on mine. The whole thing is a crock. He's comparing me to someone who has been in the job for over 2 years. He effectively told me that I've really only been in the job for around 3 months. (mind you this is a 6 monthly review) Therefore, how can he compare me with someone in the job for over 2 years! It doesn't make any sense. Maybe my productivity would have been better if I wasn't fixing up his stupid assignements for Uni when I'm supposed to be doing work... !!!!

And also the annoying person that got hired after me (we call her Zorro or Boris & Natasha because of her accent) steals files that I have worked on and claim them as her own, effectively taking my stat!! It's really starting to annoy me to the point I want to punch her out! She also sucks up to the boss as well which grates on my nerves also. You can probably tell that I'm rather annoyed.

Oh another thing, the stupid bank is looking at moving the whole department to Bangalore India to save a few dollars! We'll find out if they are going to do it in 2 months I think. Because I've been there for just under 3 years I'll most likely get a package that I don't want (it's cheaper to pay me out then to employ me and pay out someone who's been at the bank for longer) I can't be arsed looking for a different job because I have no idea what I want to do... This uncertainty is annoying me too! I want to know if I should go ahead and buy the car that I've wanted to buy for years or to not buy it because I don't have a job. I wish they would hurry up and let us know, at least then I can start looking for a job instead of waiting.

One other thing with work is that I've been seconded to work in a different department for a month releiving someone who is going on leave. Apparently I was asked specifically by the team leader/manager of that depertment to do the job... I guess it's kind of like being headhunted you could say. At least it gets me away from my arse of a boss for a month... hee!!

I'm going to be participated in the Global Corporate Challenge (GCC) this year. Should be good. It's an incentive to get people moving and healthy while walking around the world. I hope my feet can hold up because they are already worn with lots of blisters etc from the walking I was doing.

For people that I've promised to do stuff for/and or reply to emails, I'll try and get everything done soon... I hope.

I have to go and work in Mulgrave tomorrow! It's going to take me an hour or so to get there I reckon! How fun! Luckily the bank is paying for it, not me, so I don't really care how much it's going to cost! hee!

I think I have mangaged to do the most dumb thing ever and now I'm paying for it.

Next time when I go rollerblading and my feet hurt, I will have a pair of shoes with me that I can change into, and not walk barefoot (had socks on but still).

My feet are killing me and I've got bandages and cotton on them so I can just walk a little bit.

Seriously that is really dumb isn't it? I can hardly walk out of my room, so I have no idea how I'm supposed to do anything.. there goes my exercise for this week I reckon... possibly next week too.

Anyone have any idea what to do about blisters??

I bought some roller blades today... not that I know how to roller blade that is.
I practiced a bit and haven't stacked it... yet! I'm sure it will happen though.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I went to midnight mass earlier today, but I couldn't think of anything apart from how bad the music group was!! I wanted to go up there and unplug the microphones, keyboard, guitar etc. because I just couldn't stand it any longer. The people who were there had no clue what so ever what being in a band/group is about. They are the reason why I usually leave early from church because they are totally crap!!

In other news, I baked a cheesecake yesterday, it doesn't taste too bad, though next time I make one with pistachios in it, I will be buying them pre-peeled because my fingers really hurt now!

I'm rather full, so I'll go and eat some cheesecake I think... *L*

I have got no idea how much money I've spent today shopping on food for Christmas. I think I spent a couple of hundred at least...

Everything is bought though so that's good. I want to get my mum something else, but I'm not sure what. I think perhaps a necklace, though I have to go when she's not with me. We bought my dad his gift today and he was with us. My mum bought him a potato cake and told him to sit down and then we went and had a look... not sure if he got suspicious...

My wallet needs a rest I think, luckily I still don't know when my car is coming out so I can re-save money that I spent since I've been on holidays... holidays encourage too much spending.

So my hair cut didn't turn out as bad as I had expected. It actually looks like I have a decent hair cut for once. Though because my hair is still retarted, I am stuck with having to staighten it out for it to look decent... as small price to pay (well not really since I had to go and buy a straightener...)

Tomorrow I'm going to have my hair cut. I don't remember the last time I've had it cut, it's been quite a while I think. It's probably going to look shocking, it always seems to be that way because my hair is basically really demented. I have a general idea of how I want it to look, but we'll see what it sends up like.

Well I just got back home, my friends and I had a night out. I thought I had to share this with you because even though it was rather embarassing on my part, it was actually quite funny.

We went to dinner and were going to go to the movies. In the end we changed our minds because there was nothing to watch and went ten pin bowling instead.

No what's the harm in going bowling you may be saying??? Well, it's been years since I last had a game, and then I was even beaten by a 7 year old, so as you can tell, I'm rather dodgy at this. (note, it seems I am rather bad at all sports involving a ball!!) So my friend had her first shot, she's actually quite good. Then it was my turn.

When I had my first shot, I ended up in the next lane... yes I did say I... the ball went where it was supposed to, but I managed to fall over into the next lane (luckily there was no one bowling there at the time)

It was like some comedy show when you see that happen. I was laughing my head off and so were my friends. It was totally hillarious!!! But massively embarassing!

It's been a while since I last updated this journal (most of you would probably be appreciating that fact).

Anyway, my tooth is hurting at the moment, I think I may need a filling in it. I will be going to see the dentist on Monday to see if my suspicions are confirmed. It does mean however, on Monday I have a day off which is good.

Before I started writing this entry, something really weird went on with my laptop screen. It had something to do with the button that turns off the screen when you close the lid. It was working in the opposite direction when the lid was open, the monitor would turn off. I was going to open up the laptop to have a look... I actually took off a few screws, but then I couldn't figure out how the whole thing came off. Instead I just bashed the tiny button with my screwdriver and that seems to have fixed it for now.


There really is nothing on the telly at the moment... most annoying.


Hmm... what else... work has been going good, even though I haven't been doing much of the work I'm supposed to be doing. I've been designing an intranet page for my team. I spent about 3 days working on it this week, plus another two days last week and I finally finished it this afternoon. I'm still waiting on a couple of images I ordered from the web design people so once I get them, I can actually finish the pages off properly.

The system (even though there are elements of html) is very tempremental so it takes double the time to do stuff then normal and it's rather annoying.

I've been playing a lot of the Sims 2 in recent times, it's such an addictive game and you can spend hours playing it, without even noticing the time flying by.

My tooth really hurts...

Some random person started talking to me on msn. I haven't seen netspeak for so long, but this person has reminded me that I haven't been missing much.

I have no idea what this means... te ya think lol ... I think it means something.

Today I had a rather interesting adventure. We went shopping for a fathers day present for my dad and we were thinking of buying him a recliner thingo. So we went to the shop and bought one and the guy reckoned that it would fit in my brothers car easy since you could detach the back.

My brother has a Honda Integra, which is a 2 door coupe, therefore the boot slopes down a lot. My brother put the seats down and we fitted it in fine, there was a slight problem however we were three people and two of the four seats were down in order to accomodate the recliner.

So I ended up getting in the back seat with the recliner I was sitting on the folded back seat that is, in the middle of the car without a seat back. I really looked like the hunchback of Notre Dame since I was trying not to hit the roof with my head *L* It was quite a funny sight and we were lucky that we wern't stopped by the police (not that we actually saw any but still *L*) cause we would have been fined otherwise and I would have probably had to walk home *L* I should have got in the boot, it would have been a more comfortable ride home *L*

I did spend a bit of time today wrapping presents. My wrapping skills are poor to non-existent so you can imagine what they looked like. The next thing will be to actually get the box to close... it should be an interesting challenge. I think it was a good idea to split up the things into two seperate packages as hey are for different purposes anyway. The only thing that concerns me is if they are posted on the same day, will they reach their destination on the same day?

I shall go to the post office tomorrow so post them I think.
